Dr Sentissi, methodically, researched the best options on the market and is proud to be able to offer truSculpt 3D to her patients and prospective patients.
As the latest and most effective procedure for non-invasive fat reduction and body sculpting, Cutera’s truSculpt® 3D uses a proprietary radio frequency (RF) technology featuring a closed-loop temperature feedback mechanism that allows targeted, repeatable, and uniform heating of the subcutaneous fat layer while maintaining lower average surface temperatures.
TruSculpt® 3D is ideal for removing those small amounts of fat that stubbornly remain despite a good diet and regular exercise. The truSculpt® 3D system is also used for the temporary reduction of the appearance of cellulite. Compared to older, alternative approaches such as freezing (Cool Sculpt) and ultrasound, truSculpt® 3D is more comfortable, faster, tightens the skin, which is not the case for any other device on the market, and typically works in as little as a single treatment*.

WHAT IS truSculpt™?
The benefits of non-invasive radiofrequency energy are gaining popularity in aesthetic treatments. Radiofrequency energy has the ability to surpass the surface of the skin and target underlying fat cells without damaging or injuring surrounding skin, connective tissues, nerves, or blood vessels. Once underneath the skin, the radiofrequency energy converts to gentle heat, destroying fat cells in the subcutaneous layer. The destroyed cells are then gradually removed by the body over the course of about twelve weeks, resulting in improved shape and body contours.
What Areas Can truSculpt™ Treat?
This safe and comfortable treatment can be used on multiple areas of the body, including, Abdomen, Flanks, Thighs, Buttocks, Chin area and more. Treatments are comfortable, and quick, taking as little as 15 minutes in some cases, with larger areas taking up to an hour. Our team will discuss your treatment options.
Am I the right candidate for truSculpt™?
A consultation will help us identify personalized and specific treatment goals while also determining if the treatment is right for you. The typical patient that benefits most from this procedure, has a BMI of less than 30 and unwanted fat in different areas of the body.
Who cannot be treated with truSculpt™?
Patients who cannot be treated with truSculpt™ include those who have cardiac pacemakers, internal defibrillators, tumors and metallic implants (including joint replacements) in the target area. Additionally, patients who are pregnant may not undergo this procedure.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Radiofrequency is non-ablative, meaning it will not damage the skin, but treated areas may be slightly pink or flushed afterward. This treatment is generally safe for all skin types, but our team will discuss any additional safety information with you prior to treatment, based on you, individually. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities afterward without complications.
How many treatments will I need?
During your consultation, we will discuss the number of treatments you will need based on the area(s) you want to have treated and the desired results. Typically, patients need 1-2 treatments per area with each treatment approximately 4 to 8 weeks apart.
Can I return to normal activities after treatment?
Yes, the procedure is non-invasive, so you should be able to return to normal activities, immediately. Typically, there is no downtime after the treatment although some patients may experience mild discomfort for a few hours. In most instances, patients go back to work immediately after their sessions.
When will I start seeing visible results?
TruSculpt delivers RF energy to destroy fat cells in the treatment area. It then uses the body’s natural system to break down and dispose of these cells. This process may take up to 3 months. However, patients will begin to feel/see results within days, and will gradually increase during and possibly beyond the initial 3 month period.
What do I need to do before a treatment?
No special preparation is necessary prior to treatment, with the exception of removing any jewelry or body piercings in the area(s) to be treated.
