About Us

Dr. Joanna Sentissi

Dr. Joanna Sentissi did her undergraduate work at the University of California before earning her MD at the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France. She completed her internship at Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut, followed by her residency in general surgery as well as vascular research at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. After receiving her certification in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and her licensure in the State of Massachusetts, she continued at the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital where she completed a fellowship in vascular surgery.

Michael Kutka, MD

An experienced, dedicated, and Board Certified professional, Dr. Kutka works closely with each of his patients to achieve their goals. He is a graduate of Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY with a B.A. Degree in Chemistry, and earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. He completed an internship and assistant residency in Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD, and his residency in Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He has done research in minimally invasive surgery at Johns Hopkins’ Department of Surgery.

Rozalyn Carnel, RN, CNOR, CPSN, RNFA

Rozalyn has been working with Martin B. Weiss, MD, FACS,  Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, for thirty-three years and Joanna Sentissi, MD, FACS, General and Vascular Surgeon, for five years, both at Newton Wellesley Hospital. She maintains her certification as an Operating Room Nurse and Plastic Surgery Nurse and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, Inc. Additionally she is a fully trained First Assistant in Surgery and assisted Dr. Weiss with cosmetic procedures and Dr. Sentissi in the office with vascular procedures.

Martin B. Weiss, MD, FACS

Referred to as the “The Boston Plastic Surgeon”, Dr. Martin B. Weiss attended Northwestern University prior to receiving his medical degree from University of Massachusetts. Dr. Weiss then specialized in general surgery, plastic surgery, hand surgery and craniofacial surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and became the assistant clinical professor of plastic surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Weiss was the president of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital medical staff in 2008 and Chairman Credentials Committee – 2005-2007.
